Chicken Advisory Volunteer
A Chicken Advisory Volunteer shall be appointed by the Borough Council and serve for a term of 2 years and appoint a member of Council as the Liaison. The Volunteer shall submit a quarterly report to the Council Liaison. Any complaints shall be forwarded to the Chicken Advisory Volunteer and the Monmouth County SPCA for review.
The Tinton Falls Chicken Advisory Board is a 2-year Pilot Program that provides for the allowance of backyard chickens.
There are six members on the Board, including a Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary. The members are appointed by the Borough Council for a two-year term and shall include at least one member of the Monmouth County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MCSPCA).
The Chicken Advisory Board is responsible for reviewing applications submitted by residents as well as provide written procedures and practices for the raising backyard chickens.
