Historic Preservation Commission
The Historic Preservation Commission's job is to preserve, promote, and protect the history and historic resources in our borough. It is made up of 5 members and 2 alternates, all volunteers appointed by the Mayor, in addition to a Borough Council liaison. The Commission meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 7:00 pm at the Crawford House. Interested residents are welcome to attend.
The Commission is advisory to the Planning and Zoning Boards, and reviews applications for certain exterior changes to buildings located in our historic district, as well as any proposed construction in the historic district. The Commission also works on the Borough's behalf as steward to the historic Crawford House, in conjunction with the non-profit Friends of the Crawford House.
